As a result of recent events in the Red Sea region, where commercial vessels are under attack, major shipping lines are diverting their usual route to the Cape of Good Hope, avoiding the Suez Canal and seeking to provide greater security for their ships and crew. This will inevitably lead to service disruptions on the Asia-Europe and Europe-Asia routes, as well as in the price of the service, as some shipping lines are beginning to announce.
